Professional Support Lawyer

Daniel is a Professional Support Lawyer in our Private Client team and has experience in advising on a broad range of tax, trust, estate and succession planning issues for UK and international clients.

Daniel joined Wansbroughs as a Professional Support Lawyer in December 2024, having previously worked in the private client team of Charles Russell Speechlys LLP and then as a knowledge lawyer for a national law firm. His responsibilities include developing and maintaining the team’s know-how resources, keeping fee earners abreast of legal developments, delivering training programmes and providing internal counsel support.

Daniel studied Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge prior to completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP, London.

Recent experience:

  • putting in place bespoke Wills and effective succession plans, often where the client’s needs are complex due to particular family circumstances;
  • advising clients in relation to the scope of UK inheritance tax, including the availability of exemptions or reliefs, including lifetime gifting; and
  • advising non-UK clients in relation to UK tax residence, domicile and the tax implications of UK property ownership and investment.
