Here at Wansbroughs we offer both ‘Periods of Recognised Training’ and ‘Qualifying Work Experience’ placements. Both of these opportunities are available as 2 year programmes, usually commencing in September each year. We recruit 2-3 trainees each year, and generally have between 4 and 8 trainees with the Firm at any one time.
For both periods of recognised training and qualifying work experience, we offer four 6-month seats in different practice areas, which are likely to include time in private client and commercial teams, and experience with contentious work. In all areas you will get exposure to high quality legal work, with an attractive salary, generous benefits and high rate of retention on qualification.

To be selected for these opportunities, you will need a strong academic background and some work experience. The deadline for applying a trainee position is 31 October each year for a contract to start in September the following year. We do on occasion also have paralegal opportunities available throughout the year. Some of these positions are suitable as qualifying work experience, so candidates are welcome to make contact throughout the year.
