Robert is a Partner and leads the firm’s Insurance Litigation team. Robert has over 30 years’ experience of defending civil claims brought against local authorities and other public bodies. His main area of work is in personal injury litigation, with a particular interest in stress/bullying/harassment claims, but he also has considerable expertise in handling claims brought against Police authorities and claims arising out of local searches and planning and professional advice. 

Robert qualified in 1978 and joined Wansbroughs as a Partner in 1990. 

Robert is recommended in both Legal 500 and in Chambers.

Recent experience:
  • Representing local authorities at all levels in the Court hierarchy, culminating in successfully representing Poole Borough Council in the Supreme Court in the landmark case of CN and GN v Poole Borough Council.
