Tom Britten is a Partner in our Private Client team and has been with Wansbroughs since 2018.
Professional Background
Tom graduated from the University of Southampton with two degrees and qualified as a solicitor in 2015. Before joining Wansbroughs in 2018, Tom gained experience at Wilsons, Charles Russell Speechlys and Royds Withy King. Tom became an Associate in 2020, Managing Associate in 2022 and was promoted to Partner in 2024.
Tom is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Expertise
Tom advises clients on a range of matters, including estate administrations, estate planning (including providing inheritance tax and capital gains tax advice), Will drafting, preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, assisting with the preparation of trust documentation and advising executors and trustees
Tom has gained considerable experience in dealing with estate administrations since qualifying in 2015 and regularly helps personal representatives deal with complex administrations (including those containing assets in a foreign jurisdiction).
