Anna is a Partner in our Private Client team and advises on a wide range of areas particularly trusts, estates, Wills and tax planning. She works for a wide variety of individuals and family trusts and specialises in wealth protection for high net worth individuals and helping with estate and tax planning. Anna is involved in a number of family settlements and charitable trusts, helping to establish these at the outset and assisting with ongoing administration and changes for tax efficiency or to meet personal needs. Anna acts as trustee of a number of personal, family, dynastic and charitable trusts. Anna is also experienced in Will drafting and has twenty years’ experience in administering estates, including those with an international element or other complexities.
After graduating from the University of Bristol, Anna trained as a solicitor and worked in London, first at Clifford Chance and then Farrer & Co. Upon relocation to Wiltshire, Anna joined Wansbroughs, becoming a Partner in 2009.
Anna is a recommended Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate solicitor in The Legal 500 which is a leading guide to law firms. The Legal 500, 2020 edition refers to her “razor-sharp legal mind” and states “Anna Wensley Stock is a trust and estate planning expert who can relate to clients and turns around work promptly.”
Recent experience:
- Advising trustees on various issues including tax and beneficial entitlements.
- Acting as a professional executor on a number of high value estates.
- Considering the use of trusts and gifts into trusts of property as part of an overall strategy to minimise inheritance and capital gains tax.
- Advising upon post death Will variations to reduce the tax payable upon death and in conjunction with a long-term succession and tax planning strategy.
