A STEP of distinction
Three members of the firm’s Private Client team have taken one step closer to becoming full members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global association for professionals who advise families on inter-generational wealth planning.
Kathryn Smith Cowap, Tom Britten and Andrew Langbridge all recently passed the STEP Administration of Trusts exam with distinction – a great achievement. This was the second of four exams that they will need to complete in order to become full members of STEP. Next Spring, once all four exams have been completed, Kathryn, Tom and Andrew will be able to call themselves Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP) and will be even more qualified to provide our clients with first class legal advice.
As an organisation, STEP’s mission is to “inspire confidence in families planning their assets across generations by setting and upholding high professional standards, informing public policy, promoting education, and connecting practitioners globally to share knowledge and best practice”.
Full STEP members, known as TEPs, which Kathryn, Tom and Andrew will soon be, are internationally recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience.
