David is a Consultant in our Private Client team. His particular areas of expertise are Inheritance Tax planning for farmers, as well as the preparation of tax efficient Wills, the creation and administration of trusts and estate administrations. David has over 50 years’ experience in probate matters. 

After graduating from the University of Cambridge, David qualified as a solicitor in 1966 and joined Wansbroughs in 1969. David became a Partner in 1971 and remained as such until 2004, when he made the move to Consultant. 

David is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Agricultural Law Association. 

Recent experience:
  • Advising a farming family upon their Partnership Agreement and providing tax planning advice in relation to the structure of the same going forward to future generations.
  • Preparing a deed of variation to take advantage of Business Property Relief from Inheritance Tax.
  • Drafting tax efficient Wills for a couple with farming interests.
