Cynthia has been defending public bodies since 1992. Currently she specialises in the defence of predominantly personal injury actions brought against local authorities, particularly claims against social services and those involving allegations of abuse, as well as civil claims against the police.

Route to Law

LLB (Hons) 1989 University of Warwick LSF 1990 College of Law. Cynthia trained with Bevan Ashford and qualified in 1992. She practised as a clinical negligence defence lawyer until joining McEwens in 1999, becoming a director in 2001. Cynthia joined the Wansbroughs Insurance Team in 2003 and was made a partner in 2015.
