Claims may be made against an estate by dependants or beneficiaries under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, where it is felt that a Will has not made ‘reasonable provision’ for that dependant or beneficiary, and a greater share of the estate is therefore sought.
Here at Wansbroughs, our team of trusts and probate solicitors has a wealth of proven experience in dealing with such disputes over a number of years. And while we will always seek to resolve what are often highly charged disputes without the need for any Court involvement, sometimes this is not possible. Strict time limits exist if claims are to be made which should be considered at all times.
With inheritance claims, timely but considered advice is very much of the essence. We will consider and guide you through the merits of any potential claim and advise you accordingly, in order to help you to achieve the best outcome.
