Powers of Attorney

A power of attorney is a document which gives a person or persons whom you trust implicitly the ability to deal with your personal welfare and/or financial affairs. This may be because you are travelling or working abroad for a period of time and you need someone in this country to look after your financial affairs. On the other hand, you may be looking to the future, to make sure that someone will be able to look after your property, financial affairs and personal welfare if you are unable to do so due to illness or loss of mental capacity. Anyone aged 18 or over can make a power of attorney if they are deemed to have the mental capacity to do so.

There are a number of different types of powers of attorney and Wansbroughs can offer you sound advice as to which one is most suitable, depending on your circumstances.

Our team trusts and probate solicitors has a wealth of experience in drafting powers of attorney. For more information about powers of attorney, please do not hesitate to contact us.
