Courts Martial

For service personnel, a courts martial can be an extremely anxious time, not only because the individual will face a full trial, but the penalties can be similar to those of a civilian Crown Court, with the outcome affecting the career of the accused.

Wansbroughs Solicitors can represent those accused through the Courts Martial process, with funding generally being made available through the Army Legal Aid Scheme. We can also attend service interviews conducted under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and advise whether questions should be answered, which may have a bearing upon a decision to prosecute.
